I have just become an ACE, although I am in my second guise as an h2g2 researcher, after forgetting who I was. smiley - cdouble I was wondering, now that I often welcome people online, people sometimes have questions to ask. I answer them of course, if I know the answer. smiley - biggrin I was wondering, I'd like to be able to help more people - and think I could manage it. Can I be a Guru as well? If not, I'll understand why, it's just that h2g2 is such a welcoming place, and I want to do everything that I can to help.

Whoami?

Being an ACE and being a Guru are not mutually exclusive. So long as you fulfill the criteria *goes off to look up the rules* I'm sure you could be a Guru...

Yeah. I would fulfil the necessary criteria. Sorry about the triple post, some helpful person clicked my mouse three times in a vain attempt to irritate me... smiley - blush

Hi yes sure you can WhoamI! I'll add you to the Gurus list now, but you won't get your badge for a week or so, we've only just updated, so we need to accumulate a new batch.

Oh and yes I was off having lunch with Mark and Sam. We find tht we get a bit boggle-eyed if we don't take a screen break.

I've just been down to Somerset House on the Strand. Lovely fountains there. Very nice & relaxing. smiley - smiley

True. There can't be many jobs online where the contact with real people is so important or frequent. Thanks for letting me be a Guru as well. smiley - blush

Great. I'm on the mailing list, but I think I'll stay a bit quiet until I have my badge. People don't believe that you're any type of Volunteer unless you have the badge. Thanks a lot for dealing with my request and getting me on the list, it's nice to be able to help! smiley - biggrin

...but I am wondering what has happened. I know I am not due a badge until midweek, but I seem to not have had any messages to the gurus to my email. has it just been a quiet day, or am I having trouble at my end? smiley - biggrinsmiley - silly
