h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Due to the fact that my provider gave my e-mail address to someone else while I wasn't looking, I have a new one. I was wondering if y'all could update my entry in the list serves to reflect the e-mail address in my preferences.

It's easy to change it yourself, just go into the yahoo preferences.

Mina's right - it's easier for you to change it than us, as it's your account... though it's not necessarily obvious what to do.

If you have a problem, though, email Anna and she'll help you out.

I was talking about the Sub Editor list serve. It sends the mail to the old address. I want it sent to the one that I currently have listed in preferences.

Ah, I had to fiddle around to get it to do that for me. It accepted mail from my usual account, but kept sending it to the old one.
I think what I did was this - go to yahoo and click my groups, then email preferences, then add/edit email adresses. Then they make you sign in again, even though you are already signed in, then it takes you to your member info page. If you change the email address there it should start sending it to the right address. To double check, go back to my groups, click edit my groups, and set the email address there. Actually, it might be worth checking that first.

So were we, Two Bit. It's dead easy for us (and you) to change your h2g2 email, but it's a bit trickier on Yahoo, but it's much easier for the account owner. Yell if it doesn't work... looks like Mina's been there too!
