I see you haven't got TABLEs on your PS... i can't see any reason for you to use them, but we could do a lesson on them.

Start with , finish with , start and finish each row with and , start and finish each cell with and . I think that's it for the basics, let me know if you want to know about COLSPAN, ROWSPAN, TH, TBODY, BGCOLOR and the like.

OK, I'll provide the reason or motivation for learning about TABLEs then. You need them to put several PICTUREs in a row although you can do some stuff by using EMBED to position pictures on the left or right of text or in the centre of the page.

Oops, that reminds me, I've been so busy adding TABLE flags to my flags page and doing other stuff that I still haven't updated the blobfinders page (A999994) with new graphics after the weekend selection.

I thought we'd been through this before. Much of RL is bad for me because of my medical problems but, as it happens, I have quite a bit scheduled for this afternoon and evening and more for the weekend. I'm not sure what you include in RL though. Many of the other things I do off the computer such as algebra, art and music might not be counted as real life by you.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking here so I'll guess.

The reason you get a line break or gap between text and pictures is because the PICTURE is secretly an IMG (short for image) put inside a TABLE anyway. The real IMG tag normally fits inside lines of text (the way the smileys are done).

To put an actual line between things to divide your page into sections you can use the horizontal rule tag which is:

To line up any text or pictures in neat rows and columns you use a . This means the same thing as tables in mathematical and scientific books and not the same as the piece of furniture.
