I've found out that i get homesick easily. Every uni except for southampton that i've been to just hasn't seemed right.

Southampton's not a bad uni, especially with the cinema, the shop, the Union - it was by far the nicest University I saw, even if they claim that their buildings, the ones that don't look as if they are about to fall on top of you, are boats.
I had many happy times there.
By all means, go to it. It's good!

A friend's son and daughter went to and are going to Sotton Uni. The son has stayed on to do a doctorate, so it must be nice place to be.

I actually meant the Institute. Does the University do any good Media tech courses

My husband went to the Institute many s ago in the days when he was an apprenticed aircraft engineer. So no doubt it has changed muchly since his day.

i've only seen the library at the the institute as my mum works there. it's a good library though

Apparently it was almost named the South Hampshire Institue of Technology, which would have been rather unfortunate...

Well they're trying to rename Bournemouth Univeristy 'POOLE University', of all things. So what if it's a couple of meters into Poole?

Bournemouth Uni has good media stuff, by the way.

"Poole University" won't have as bad initials...

i went to bournemouth. Didn't like it there. I think it was the way that all the tour guides just couldn't be bothered.

Aaw, please don't be put off by disinterested student tour guides. I'm really enjoying my time at the Media School, and heartily reccommend it.

not that i've ever /any/ chance of going, but Cambridge is a really lovely University . Actually, i like all of Cambridge
