at a beach, we still don't know which one.
maybe Goaty beach 
(for those who don't know Goaty beach sits opposite the Southampton docks in Southampton water, near Eling. It's just an oil, seaweed, scum covered place with mud so thick that you'd disapear if you stood in it.

As someone who used to go swimming in the Clyde and has been to Brighton Beach in January I'd say yes

I only suggested a beach party in winter for two reasons.
1. no one has beach partys in winter.
2. we're virtually guarenteed to have the beach to ourselves (except for old man with beard and a few dogwalkers)
