April 25 is the birthday of Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, who became arguably the world's youngest political prisoner at the age of six.
Tibet's Stolen Child, the 11th Panchen Lama, was born on April 25, 1989. On 17 May, 1995, the Panchen Lama was kidnapped by Chinese authorities.
Despite pressure from human rights groups and requests from various countries, China still refuses to reveal his whereabouts or prove that he is alive and well.
