Is this correct:
"There is a different symbol in the script for each possible symbol: sa, se, si, so, su, na, ne, ni, no, nu etc"
Should it not read,
"There is a different symbol in the script for each possible SYLLABLE:" ?

Also
"Syllabic systems are no so useful for languages like English " NOT so useful.

Hi Gnomon, I'm never sure whether it's a good or bad thing to post it in Peer Review (opinions seem to differ), but just to say that I enjoyed reading this entry. There was a huge amount of research invested in it, and it reads extremely well.

Thanks, Woodpigeon.
I think it is important to say in Peer Review if you enjoyed something. Scouts should surely take it into account when picking.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Eds / Subeditor, please note. It would really improve this entry if the four diagrams I drew could be converted into h2g2 pictures and incorporated in the text of the entry.
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!
