I always thought it was Danish. Hence the first legoland being in Denmark.

There is a book on Lego that my 2nd cousin has. It has pictures of the first lego toys & general instructions on how to build giant-size, Legoland-type models. It is probably available in many different countries, being a large-format coffee-table kind of book.

I just build the toys, I don't know much about the books and stuff.
