Ok, this is a really insignificant problem, but I thought I'd record it anyway...

When signing in through BBCiD, the tab key jumps first to the forgotten password link and then to the password field. smiley - huh So if you're not paying attention (like me) you type in your user name, hit tab, type in your password, hit enter, and rather than being signed in, get taken to the forgotten password link.

Name-tab-password-enter used to work on hootoo, just like it does on nearly every other site out there. Hence the confusion. Minor issue, but since we're in the middle of a site redesign, I thought I'd mention it smiley - ok

I've spotted that too, Mala. I find it quite irritating.

I use Opera's password manager so I hadn't noticed it, sounds worth changing though.smiley - smiley

kea ~ Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded but very well read blue and white website

There's a problem here too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F19585?thread=7505856

me too. But it has stopped recognising the page and doesn't offer me the option to save the password anymore so back to entering it via the keyboard.

It did that to me, I went into preferences and deleted the bit in the password manager that stored it for bbc id and then signed in again and it offered to store it again.smiley - smiley

The w*rk computers here only have IE6 on them. Not even firefox smiley - rolleyes But I don't want to stay signed in anyway unless I'm on my own computer. So it catches me every time.

I haven't noticed anything like that. Does it only happen when you've checked the 'remember me' option?

No smiley - huh

Do you use the mouse or the keyboard to jump to the next field? And which browser are you in?

Then you won't get it, no.

Seems to be a keyboard problem, the fields are in the wrong order when tabbing through them.
