Search facility isn't working properly

The search facility isn't working properly - just now, when looking for a subject I'd found loads of entries on the other day, it came up with only one very old entry which was only about 8% relevant. Other searches I did to test the facility, using words from entries that I know are in the edited guide, also didn't work.
I wanted to use the search to look for relevant entries to link to in a new entry I'm subbing - is this a temporary glitch?

It's temporary. Our search service fails occasionally, and when it does we have to rebuild the search indexes which means, for an hour or so, you won't be able to find all the results you previously used to be able to find.
It should be better now, and totally back to normal in an hour or so.
