Hi, I originally wrote entry A214642 in 1999.
I have restored my account (maybe ... it has the same name, but that is all though), so is there anything I must do next? I still cannot edit entry A214642, even though it has my name listed as the author.
CK.

You haven't restored your old account, you've opened another account under the same nickname, which is why you can't edit your entry. Maybe you's rather ask in the editorial feedback for advice

Hmm... U102305 is quite an old account. It might not be possible for it to be moved to SSO now if it hasn't been used in between, ie gone through the sequential upgrades. However, it would require the relevant staff to determine that - and it might be possible (with sufficient proof of ownership provided) to transfer editorial control of the article to the new account.
The obvious places to email are h2g2.support at bbc.co.uk and, for just the SSO issue, membership at bbc.co.uk
