A Conversation for Magnetic Poetry

Hope you don't mind me diving in here with feedback before you've written any more than section headers......

What a great idea magnetic poetry is. Such an improvement over those little magnetic leprechauns and the like. The contents of several of the themed boxes of magnetic words are now strewn across my fridge.
An observation : whatever the supposed theme of the wordset all poems end up as romantic/erotic efforts.
Another observation : all visitors now cluster around the fridge inspired to create their first poetic masterpiece.
A third observation : neither my visitors nor myself are inhibited by our total lack of poetic talent. This may be a Good Thing from our point of view but will no doubt cause great pain to any truly inspired wordsmiths visiting my kitchen.

And finally, sorry couldn't resist, my favourite example from those currently residing on my fridge door. (I think created by my sister, don't ask me to explain)
"Bellow in rhythm like wild melon. Vast green thing like a flower perhaps. Linger and Devour"

Wow! Thanks for the early reply. smiley - smiley

One of the best things about magnetic poetry is that they encourage cheap innuendo and surreal pondering. You just can't get that from regular poetry. I've found that romance and violence are the top two topics for magnetic poets.

And that's a very good point about novice writers feeling comfortable with the medium. I noticed that also, but didn't think to include it here.
