A Conversation for Asymmetric Hydrochronology

And is there an -ology which deals with the fact that no matter how long you spend drying yourself after a swim or a bath or a shower, there's somehow always a wet bit that you've missed when you get dressed?
Ummmm, if you say so.

Sorry for answering that late.
Of course there's the -ology you have asked for:
It's called Hygroepimenology, from hygros (= wet, humid) and epimonos (= persistent).
Do you think that might be an interesting call for entries to The Guide? "Searching for .... weird sciences" like nomadic urbanism, or prehistoric quantum physics, ...
Ummmm, if you say so.

I think that a call for 'weird sciences' would be an excellent idea Jeremy. And thank you for the -ology. At a guess, I'd say that you're either a Greek scholar, or just have a very good English-Ancient Greek/Ancient Greek-English dictionary
Ummmm, if you say so.
Jeremy (trying to find his way back to dinner) Posted Oct 9, 2000
None of both ...
I had (ancient) Greek in school for 3 years. Dictionaries can be found on the net.
I just love to play around with words, languages, phonetics, ...
That's fun and absolutely (mostly) harmless !
Ummmm, if you say so.

Goshoogoshoogosh,
if you are interested in language games, you might perhaps like my entry about medical jargon, found at

I have submitted it to the Peer Review, and it might make it's way into the Edited Guide "with a little help from my friends".
Ummmm, if you say so.

Hmm - gosh - does it bother you that you've admitted to being too incompetent to dry yourself properly?
-Lucinda (who's never had *that* problem, at least)
Ummmm, if you say so.
