Traffic and urban transports
Cloned Again Started conversation Oct 31, 2000
Nantes has a pretty good mass transport system.
The tramway network for exemple was one of the first to be used again in France, and served as a model for other towns such as Strasbourg.
Nantes now has tramway lines Deserving the North, East and South of the city, as well as numerous bus lines.
However automobile traffic keeps increasing significantly as the population of the town grows (i.e. fast).
Traffic jams are frequent on the "péripherique" (ring road) on peek hours, and the whole town is like paralysed when tramways and buses go on strike.
