Sure these two sterotypes deserve mention, along with the legendary Sam Steele

Shame that Disney now owns the rights to the Mountie image
Another excellent entry

I wanted to stick to the real mounties, which, of course, would lead to the conclusion that the legendary Sam Steele should be mentioned, since he was real.
As for the Disney thing, as I understood it, the R.C.M.P. had licenced the image to disney as a marketing arrangement, not as an actual transfer of ownership of the trademark.
I'll consider Sam Steele, but I'll leave Nelson Eddy and Dudley Dooright to your forthcoming entry on "The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Hollywood."

D'oh! I was afraid you might say something like that. And me without my copy of Pierre Berton's Hollywood's Canada

I always figured there ought to be a Stan Rogers song about him or something.
