The Tories created an election broadcast featuring images of Tony Blair accompanied by the old show tune 'Take That Look Off Your Face' (described here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/blog/4443777.stm ) and weren't allowed to screen it on TV. They've had to use it as a cinema ad instead.
So how were Labour able to get away with last night's TV election broadcast setting uncomfortable moments from Michael Howard and the Tories' history to the tune of 'The Way We Were'? I thought the Labour broadcast was very effective, but I still wondered how it had passed the censors when the reportedly similar Tory film hadn't.

I saw a Lib Dem political broadcast on Channel 4 last night where Labour and the conservitives were portrayed as dodgy car dealers and it pointed out all their flaws.
I thought the Lib Dems weren't going to do negative campaigning.

That's actually quite a disturbing vision on that game! I suspect that I'm going to have nightmares tonight about giant Blairs and Howards looming over buildings, waving their arms and moaning at me!
