oilrig/floating nightclub and casino/WMD store. Just think of the money we could make selling weapons to misunderstood dictators.

We don't need the minions after all ~ we need a mad scientist to whip us up some really nasty WMDs

I reckon you should make this into a Guide entry, RFJS_...
Also, it could probably be extended; I'm thinking of making a second part where you design you choose to stand for a seat and there's a design for creating your own manifesto. If you'd prefer not to have that at all (after all, this is your creation), say so and I'll drop it, but together it could make a good entry (although maybe not Edited material...)

But what with the new house rules for the election, you probably wouldn't be allowed to make the page.

"I suspect that in general the secret to bringing something about and preventing it would be to do it in reverse order: prevent someone else's doing it, then do it yourself.
Hopefully, though, someone would find a more original and controversial method."
The easiest method is to bring it about for yourself and prevent it for everyone else (or the other way round if you prefer).
Hardly original, but always controvertial...

I would really hope not...it's not as though it's remotely serious, or actually has anything to do with politics.

You could work on it now and put it up once the election and the attack of the random "yikes" was over

Neither is the Boris Johnson Fanclub, but we're not allowed to post in there until after the election.

Oh, I was fully intending to make an Entry of this after the election; that's why the election-centric rules are set up as add-ons. As for possible alterations, just think of what could be done with the tag alone...

Well this is the only political thread where i haven't lost at least one post so i don't think anyone's too bothered about fantasy government.
After all Boris is actually standing ~ noone here has got to that stage (i hope)

I'm standing... up.
I did set the Generator up to avoid possible moderation problems; Bill Gates was brought in to replace a member of the Labour staff. Now I just have to avoid taglines containing colour words.

Well i'm grateful for the Bill Gates option ~ any excuse for a pop at him.
I knew i'd forgotten something ~ if i'm going to organise a revolution i need to pick my party colour /slogan/name etc

Oh, go with olive!

Olive as a colour, name or slogan?

It could be all three. That way people wouldn't forget.

I wonder which would work better for picking colours: a name list like the current categories, or some means of generating random hex numbers for web-safe colours.
Hex numbers don't quite have the ring of 'olive'...

I was thinking something a little brighter ~ maybe glittery and neon.

Could we draft a law, The Poetry (Restriction) Act 2005, in the form of a never-ending roundelay in verse? The draft bill may get quiet large but its verse form should make it easier on the ear the most modern legislation.
That way you could go about abolishing poetry without ever getting rid of it.

I've been wondering about the possibility of the Political Party Generator having a GuideML template rather than a straightforward prose template like the Opinion Generator; it would be more complex, but it would create actual campaign pages. Then elements in them could be in the party's specific colour, and there could be matching Brunel borders.
Glitter and neon, however, could be awkward...
