Genie, probably not.
I was just wondering, given the recent birth, if you could angle for some sort of recognition of imp as youngest researcher?

Right I shall have to get my backside into gear and turn up earlier then!
I never thought of that! Mind you his typing is only at about 1 wpm at the moment and his accuracy leaves much to be desired! He thinks the laptop is funny now and needs covering in dribble.....
I was just having a look on the National Gallery Website, I haven't been there for a couple of years and wouldn't mind a wander around if anyone else fancies it?

one of my ancestors is depicted in the national gallery (although the piccy is in the basement, I wonder what that says ).
Sounds like he should be able to manage a/s/l soon then...

.... which is why my profile is always shown as inactive...
My ancestor/relatives were here pillaging and burning artwork... not so much in recent years but we haven't had a get together in a long time....
Has it not been on display then?

probably. He was some sort of right on hellfire and damnation preacher way back when. Apparently Ian Paisley thinks he is a good role model. Nice.
So, back to the main point, can everyone who wants to meet in Hyde Park and play silly games or just sit around and have a picnic or whatever, post here so we have some idea of whether it is worth while or not!
and no, I am *not* organising htis since I am only a probable attendee.
Genie is going to organise it

But we always go to Hyde Park, it's tradition!

Rights, that's another one.
Hmm. Howsabout we send a detachment to hide round the corner from the pub and press gang people into going to the Hyde park bit?

Serephina Posted Apr 19, 2005
how about just letting people do what they want?
some of us dont like the sun n nare fed up with hyde park anyway!

IctoanAWEWawi Posted Apr 19, 2005
ah, but if everyone goes to the pub then that denies me my right to enjoy myself sitting down the park with fellow hootooers doesn;t it?
Anyway, whaddaya think this is, a democracy?
(I have already mentioned that I may not be there so I think anyone who takes my comments as a serious desire to influence others to do what I want and not what they want has got rather the wrong end of the stick.)

oh hell, there was a on that. Sorry Serephina, didn't show up. Thought it was uncharacteristicly non humourous of you.

I find I still see enough of everyone by spending the afternoon with the drinkers and the evening with the more serious.
Besides which, there are some people at meets who are not entertaining enough until they (and I!) have had at least four pints.

Think there was a word missing in the above post:
"I find I still see enough of everyone by spending the afternoon with the drinkers and the evening with the more serious *drinkers* "
