A Conversation for Slayerville

Interesting stuff

Hello all

Here are three things that might be of interest to you:

1. As you probably know, a few of us are working on updating the Buffy Guide Entry. The working page can be found here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A3815886

In the conversation section we will be posting bits and pieces that are meant to become the updated pages. Any comments and contributions will be much appreciated.

2. About a week ago, Xander (our X-man, not the Buffyverse one) designed a Slayerville badge that you can put on your page. Since he hasn't been around for a couple of days, I've taken the liberty of alerting you all to it. (Hope you don't mind, Xander!) There are two versions, one with the text aligned left, one with the text centered. You can see what they look like on Xander's page and on mine. Just pick the one you like best (if any smiley - smiley) and put it on your page by copying the code below from to .

The left aligned version:

Member ofSlayerville

The centered version:

Residentof Slayerville

IMPORTANT: You have to use GuideML to be able to put it on your page! If you're not familiar with it, Xander has also made a page with the basic principles. You can find it here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A2256356

It's not that difficult, it's about the same as the codes you use in any word processor.

3. And last but definitely not least, I found this (well, Dark Horizons did, I'm just passing it on):

http://www.iesb.net/movies2/movie032105b.php

Apparently (I haven't watched it yet, but I'm going to after I post this) it's a 52 minute (!) presentation by Joss Whedon and the cast of Serenity. I'm actually drooling while typing this smiley - biggrin. If you only knew what self control it required to post this before watching it... smiley - winkeye

Enjoy!

Oh, by the way, if you want to see all new Slayerville conversations on your own convo list, even if you haven't contributed to them (yet), just click on "Click here to be notified of new Conversations about this Guide Entry" at the bottom of the page and nothing in Slayerville will ever escape your attention smiley - smiley.

Well, that's what you get for leaping before you look, I guess: The Serenity thing was somewhat disappointing. Not because of its content, but because the sound was very poor and very out of sync, so what exactly its content was, is, erm, open for interpretation...

Still, if you hazard to venture out into this auditory maze, 'headphones on and eyes closed' is probably the best advice I can give you.

That's really helpful of you, Nite_Owl - smiley - ta . I think I'll steer clear of the Serenity link, though, as I'm worried I might actually see/hear some snippets from the movie - I'm a spoilerphobe, you see. Thanks for posting it, nevertheless.

Thanking you kindly for that Nite_Owl and Xander - I am now a proud possessor of a "resident of Slayerville' badge'.

Staker Boi, spoilerage isn't something you have to worry about, they've cut out all movie footage. It's just a Q and A session with JW and five of the cast, plus one short interview with JW that actually has reasonable sound.
