Morning all,
26. HOLST was unintentional. Sorry I can't give you an extra point Popa, but you did score Liszt.
14. CICONIA and 10. CILEA are not the answers I intended, but I just found both in the Oxford Dictionary of Music, so you can have the points. My #14 was an 18th Century Italian, and my #10 was a 20th Century American (for no extra points).
That leaves 8, 18 and 33, by my reckoning. I would say they're all fairly well-known...

You can have the point for Stephen Foster, but I had a 20th Century English composer in mind (I think he's still alive) - for no extra points.

Yes, that was the one I had in mind (see posting 49 above).
Only #33 to go. I promised Arty a clue, so...
33 is still alive and well. He has composed two classical pieces, but he's better known for other things...
