that may be true that someof the toilets are really nice but i've been there and i know for a fact that some of them are unbelievably terrible as well. one thing to be aware of is that the handicapped bathrooms are so much worse than their non-handicapped counter parts. i once found one in a mall (i didn't use it) that was dimly lit, wet, dirty and smelly. even in nice restaurants the handicapped bathrooms are terrible. i once went into a handicapped bathroom by accident and it was very dirty while the regular bathroom was very clean.
another thing, if you happen to be at a cheap restaurant they don't even have toilets. it is just a whole in the ground which i am still not sure how to use. (this includes the women's bathrooms)
the last thing is that bathrooms in the new territories are generally worse than the ones on hong kong island itself. i hope that helps for anyone that is going there anytime soon.
