I enjoyed this - it would be great in the post, maybe cut into two sections?
The transport sections in particular reminded me of my own travels in Africa and South America. The speed those minibuses can get up to, it's amazing...

I didn't think about that... though after a bit of 
ing from friends I was about to submit it to AWW to see if someone in the Underguide might like it. 
So now I'm not sure again.
Yeah, those minibuses are pretty crazy. Though according to my parents' stories about the ones in South America, they weren't so bad... at least I didn't have to share the ride with any farm animals! 
Oh, and just out of curiosity, how did you get to this entry in the first place?

Good idea to pop it into AWW - maybe get some useful comments - I thought the past/present tense aspect works OK, and indeed much of my travel writing is like that.
How did I see this article? Just wandering around the site. The best way to come across interesting things.
