h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have too say that the movie is not something I would mention to my friends as worth seeing (not if I wanted to keep them that is). To say it was bad really doesn't do it justice, but that is just my opinion.

The book on the other hand, is huge, fairly simplistically written, but is a great read. Perhaps there are subliminal messages in it, who cares. I read it cause it comes across as an easy to read, light book, that doesn't end to quickly at all, and as mentioned in the other post, the second half of the book is were it all happens!

Please, please, please DO NOT do a movie about the second half of the book, I really could not stand to see another movie so bad as the first (I am ever the optimist and would go and see it on the hope it would be good, although knowing it wouldn't be).

If it is meant to be an add for scientology (sp?) its a damn long one and the book really comes across as nothing more then a silly, light hearted read (I've looked and I will be b******d if I can find any "message" in it, other then dont be 10 foot tall with a love for purple skies ).
