A very well compiled article this - Menza and Irving should definately link to it!
Incidently \__/== is a saucepan
and v/_\3 is a kettle - for use in cooking at the Aroma cafe.
But it's a very well compliled list - and thanks for remembering to credit me with it all! smiley - smiley

Excuse me why I try out a few experiments. They may look silly when posted so I'll announce their names afterwards when I've decided what they look like.

As I suspected some of them didn't turn out as planned.

The survivors are:

}{ -- a schooner of sherry like my mum used to drink when we went to the Berni Inn.

¶_| -- an alternative to smiley - ale for left-handers

‚—‚ -- I'll go and sit at that table until you shout out my number and try to deliver something completely other than the thing I ordered.

Ÿ -- a martini with two olives, I know how to live you know.

Hopefully this will be suitable for Mybrainhertz who is Australian.

Hmmm! An interesting point there Amy! As Linus, who compiled the article, is of antipodean origin, I guess that they all manage quite well over there with the ones already provided! It would be amusing to have a good upsode-down version though, if only to indicate that my glass is empty and needs filling up quickly!
