well this takes me back/not a great fan but my eldest brothers then girlriend now wife of many decades was employed in the original factory unit that made supercar-xl5.it was just off the bath road in slough berks/i can actualy remember it was a courigated roofed building and it had a sign saying bowie films painted on it/it was diagonaly opposite a large transport cafe called bartons cafe/it has a makeshift football pitch in front too/this site is now opposite a ,mercedees dealership.bowie film workshop-i believe then under the wing of atc moved production to another more modern-1940s unit on,ediburgh road slough/i worked for a company-fhd who later used the same building as the andersons-there were people working at fhd who remember the sets and the rooms that they made in/lastly the same people confirmed that they had seen puppets and sets in skips outside the unit when they moved out/think production was moved to a proper studio-possible elstree after that/i think a local slough man aquired 1-2 of the puppets from said skip and was later featured in the local paper with them/an episode of international rescue featured the pink rolls royce of lady penelope arriving outside a plush hotel-this was actualy the real size car which was made, approching a block of council flats in langley slough.was probably easier than making a model for one scene/also of note is that bowie films made many of the models used in james bond movies which of course many are/were made at pinewodd studio-5 miles from slough/nostalgical yours/ruggyaj
