This is an entry I wrote, which is similar to my approved entry about the NYS Thruway.

People from all over have heard the Canal Song, but many outside of New York state aren't aware that the canal actually existed, and still exists to this day. This article is an in-depth (lol) look at the history of the canal, and some of the tourist attractions located along the Old Erie today.

Hopefully people will find it interesting enough...since I'm from the area, I'm familiar with the canal already, but I did do a lot of actual research, so the facts should be accurate smiley - smiley
