A Conversation for Hull Meet - Sat 12 + Sun 13 July, 2008
Why Hull?
anachromaticeye Started conversation May 4, 2008
Not that I'm complaining: I live in Hull. Complaining could be a dangerous precedent. I don't really know anyone on the list of people apart from roymondo and Bob a bit but sign me up anyway.
So, why Hull? I don't get it.

A lot of people can't make it to London Meet.. and a couple of close friends live in the area in and around Hull.
We opened a meet for them last year, and it was a very good night for us all

Blimey! I thought I was the only Hootooer stuck down this end of the M62!
Perhaps the question should be "Why NOT Hull?" - Great to have you signed up though! Looking forward to meeting you!

Hull last year was even discounting the rain and the torrential rain and all the wet stuff falling out of the sky. Did it dampen our spirits? Nope...we hootooers had a ball, as you can see, we couldn't not have another.
Hull is central for a few (for me, a half-hour drive over the Humber Bridge) which I do anyway when I need some soulfood.
I'll add you to the definites, if you live in Hull there's no need to book a hotel room, unless you want to with the rest of us

Its safer than Doncaster. The Prof and Lil have been bhombing Doncaster though has gone quiet of late.

Why do I need to book a hotel room to with you? Can't I then get home by whatever means I'm then capable of?
Also, why are we drinking in a hotel?

Well I'm not going to sit in a canoe in the middle of the Humber!
Besides, the Prof lost his armbands in last year's downpour

I could probably score some spare arm bands to hand out. I've got the Hull meet 2008 Armbands. You can probably get them from the pound shop.
I can suggest a couple of superior and friendly pubs as an alternative to canoes, or hotels, which I imagine charge you a fortune. Unless there're kiddies coming, that would make the hotel thing make sense.

We will be meeting in the pub attached to the hotel.
We will also be booking a large table for a meal, if you wish to join us
For the late afternoon/early evening, Moonhogg will be bring Kitty and Cheeky Monkey to attend their part of the meet. After which, Mr and Mrs Moonhogg will take them home, and return for their part of the evening, which includes the meal and a number of drinks *hic*

I think I'd like it if you could rephrase that last bit, lil...
Sounds like me and The Missus are going to be putting on some sort of erotic display on the tables with the food...
