Who cleans out the writing workshop? Should we do that too?

Give us a list of what needs clearing and we can do that.

Well, it's just that there's stuff in there dating back to 2002 which nobody has posted on in *years*, I just think it needs a spring clean smiley - smiley

The Scouts have done semi-periodic cleanings of the WW and the FM in the past. What we've done before to streamline things is to copy/paste a list of every entry in the forum, then divide them up between scouts willing to lend a hand, so that every single entry gets looked at, and a massive list devised relatively efficiently.

I quite agree -- I think that if you post a note to the scout's yahoo group, you could probably get a posse together to sweep the whole thing at once relatively painlessly.

Could you please spread the clean up out over a few days or weeks...

By bouncing _all_ these dead threads in one go you're completely flooding the conversations of anyone subscribed to them.

It might even be best if the list was done offsite and no-one posted to the ones that need removing. That way, we just have to go to the end of the forum and work our way in smiley - smiley

That's usually the way to go about it so you're not in the wrong, it's just me realising that this is slightly different to Peer Review. If an entry hasn't been touched in two years, the likelihood is it's abaondoned or forgotten.

Some of the authors have been replying and sorting out their entries themselves, so I think it is worth doing it onsite, but spread out over time. I won't be doing any more for a bit smiley - smiley
