was like heaven on earth.
Was it worth the money? I honestly can't tell you. As IanG had booked the table, my menu didn't have prices on it.
(Probably a good thing considering my bloodpressure.)
Mirabelle on the other hand left me throwing up for a good few hours afterwards... I think this was cross contamination of food, not that this is an excuse.
I have eaten in expensive places where the food and service was terrible, and cheap places that were so good i couldn't bare the thought of telling anyone else in case loads of people found out about it.
I used to hate Gordon Ramsey and his attitude until I heard him tell Parkinson that the reason he was such a b*****d was that for many customers coming to a Michelin starred restaurant it was a once a year treat and as such it was the duty of staff to make sure it was as damn close perfect as possible.
