The best restaurant in my area - East Devon - has to be Home Farm Hotel in Wilmington.
The food is fabulous, the atmosphere very friendly and relaxed and they had a wonderful review by Paddy Something (a famous food journalist) in the Telegraph a couple of years ago.
We always go there for special family occasions (particularly good because it is just a minute's walk from our house). We run a B & B in Wilmington too and send all our guests along to Home Farm for dinner. We have never yet had a complaint from anyone.
