Thinking on a different scale
Munchkin Started conversation Jun 23, 2000
In the good old days I used to be a PhD student in Nanoelectronics. People who study this subject use the same words as everyone else, just on a different scale. For instance, when I talked about something being big or large, I would mean greater than one micron, or 0.000001 metres. Something small would be less than a nanometre (0.000000001 metres). Similarly Cold was less than 1 degree Kelvin and hot was greater than 10 degrees Kelvin. This made a discussion of the weather very confusing
