turns out I myself didn't think it was an improvement so I've got for a readical, much simpler title... cut the cr*p, as they say.

Sorry to jump in late, but...

Fundemental -> fundamental throughout.

There are now two mentions/explanations of Adam Smith and his invisible hand; I reckon the second (the footnote) should be subsumed into the first.

Otherwise excellent smiley - ok

i could only find a couple of 'fundemental's that i have changed, please let me know if you've spotted any more. and i've changed the footnotes around to sort out the 'invisible hand' thing.

also, i've added a few links to other h2g2 sites.

This is a great entry! I've learnt something from it; so thank you.

If you don't mind my being pedantic, I have noticed a few grammatical errors:

'free market economies can provides an incentive' - change 'provides' to 'provide'.

'command economies have too many drawback' - drawback needs to be plural.

'In liberal societies such as ours' - who's? Do you mean the UK? Since the internet is global, you need to specify.

thanks for the grammar points - I've corrected the three you mention, please let me know if you spot any more!

... any other reasons why this hasn't been sub'd yet?

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Based upon a quick once over, the detail looks OK to me.

(Note, I'm not the sort of person to deal with points of grammar. I wouldn't notice them if they were jumping up and down with big red flashing lights on them.)

I've things to do for the next hour or so. But I will come back and either recommend or make further comment.
