Maybe it's time for a home PC then Bluebottle.
And 20 minutes isn't so far.
A Vanilla Bank Holiday Mondae for me too please. But slighlty milder than the Strawberry Suundae, as I am about to go out, if you don't mind.

*prepares a Vanilla Bank Holiday Mondae for Mina* Don't worry, I think it's the strawberries that do it.

I walk quite fast, so a 20 minute walk for me is normally a 35 minute walk for most people. I overtook some joggers on the way here... (nd yes, they were wearing lycra shorts. How come people don't seem to be able to jog if they're not wearing lycra shorts???).
As for a home PC - well, I'm hoping to get a nice 486 one day... That'll be great, I've always wanted a nice 486. Perhaps with as much as a 40 meg hard disk!

Thanks Ev.
That is quite fast Bluebottle.
Nothing wrong with lycra, all tight and clingy..... anyway.
You aspire to a 486? that's good. I started with a 486. had it for years. Only got rid of it last October if I remember rightly.

Lots of people around here like moer modern PCs, like Pentium IIIs. But frankly, why on earth would anyone want one of those??? They don't even put 5 1/4 inch disk drives in them. Who wants a DVD rom when you can have a 5 1/4 inch disk drive? I certianly don't.
And then they fill up their PCs with this Windows rubbish. I mean, I ask you, what a waste of a good PC. What has Windows ever done to be used so often? Pah!
I don't want Windows, I want my own DOS PC with a 5 1/4 inch disk drive, and then I'll be happy. Who wants any of this modern rubbish anyway?

The amount of sexual innuendo on h2g2 makes a Carry On film look tame......

Hi. Can I have a strawberry ice cream please?
Bluebottle, although I don't like windows, if I didn't have a PIII I wouldn't be able to post this now!

Okay... I must admit that you have a good point.
But I'd say that on h2g2 you PC turns into a CC - Community Computer - and so doesn't count. For Personal stuff, I don't like Windows.

Another Strawberry Sundae Ev please, I'm in a foul mood.
Then I'm off to find the Muse of Housework to try to inspire me. Hopefully that particular muse won't exist, and I'll have to stay here all day eating ice-cream.

Let's hope there isn't a Muse of Housework - it would be bad for business.
