Thankyou Princess, I'm glad you think so.
My pond has the bizarre quality of sharing the nature of the tardis in respect to it's size... Sometimes it can feel like a cosy little pond.. other times it can seem as a large lake

Ok...
- The pond was naturally formed many years ago by continual rainfall filtering through the hillsides and into a natural depression. The surrounding soil has a moderate clay content, which retains most of the water that accumulates here all year round.
- At one end is a low marshland/boggy area where many frogs, toads, newts and other plant life thrives.
- The rest of the pond extends for someway, and descends in one part to nearly 200ft. There are many flat plains and caverns dotted around in which to spend quiet times, floating. In the central there is a slow moving circular current, which will take you around to differant spot around the pond.
- Near the West side of the pond is the wreck of a second world war aircraft, crashed after the war on a routine transfer flight. The plane had an engine fire and so the pilot tried to land on the flat land next to the pond, then ditch it in an attempt to put out the fire. Unfortunately due to the smoke he was unable to land with any precision and carreered into some trees by the pond, spinning the plane into the water... The pilot bailed out, but the plane was lost to the depths.
- Now it serves as a home to many aquatic life forms, with some coral and limpets growing on it's body...
- There is also an extensive coral reef along the North East side of the pond...
- The pond is quite safe for people to swim in, and is often visited by people from the adjacent park.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask the local tourist office (me )
