Oh and emmily, executable files are those ones where you click on a link and it downloads something to you or opens a new program. So say I wrote an entry on Mozilla WebBrowser, I couldn't link to the download link from here, I'd have to link to the front page of Mozilla.

No anchors? Bugger! That does make it a beast...

I'll try your blockquote thing. At the weekend. When I've got a few hours to put the new stuff from the biggy back into the separate articles.

Ho hum.

Don't sweat it, guys 'n' gals (jewellery, jewellery!). All part of the game, and I've found it a damn sight learning about what articles should be 'like' here than when I used to try and get articles into magazines. A word of warning, though, the only time an editor actually planned to use an idea of mine, the magazine's next issue was its last! smiley - skull

Simply cut and paste the above into the top of each Entry, and delete the line with the link refering to that Entry. smiley - ok

I've put them in alphabetical order, feel free to change if your not happy with that. smiley - smiley

The use of   is to insert a space between | it makes it look neater.smiley - smiley

If you want to see what it looks like before you insert it, click A3357632 it's at the top of that page. smiley - ok

Kat and Emmily, errors aside, you are both a pair of stars to me, putting up with a newbie like me. Let me know next time you're in East Anglia, I'll buy you both a smiley - ale

Post 33

The very Eastest Anglia - Lowestoft area, but I have a car so I can get to other bits as well. Norwich is nice, as is Bury St Edmunds.

How do you know I like Bury? Spooky. Sorry I shouldn't be doing this in the PR thread smiley - blush

Wasn't there once a racehorse called Dig up St Edmunds?

If there was, it was illegal. All race horse names have to be sixteen characters or less, including spaces.

Another suggestion: It might be an idea to put (UK) in each Kite title, so the reader knows the rules and regulations you quote are UK ones. smiley - erm I did read some rules and regs in one of them, err I think.smiley - smiley

Just out of curiosity smiley - smiley a few comparisons have been made to fishing, do kite enthusiasts travel miles for the best/favourite ‘spot’ in a similar way that fishing enthusiasts do for their best/favourite 'swim'? Is there an ideal ‘spot’ for kiting. smiley - erm

I was at Beachy Head last year, there were quite a few kite being flown there.

Anywhere with a reliable wind in the right direction, plenty of open space and decent access will attract kiters. If it's flat and firm, it will attract kite buggy drivers (Pendine sands in Wales to name but one), if there is good open water it will attract kite surfers.

Dis-used aerodromes are perfect, but a bit ugly.

I personally go to Great Yarmouth's North Beach, which is wide, flat and fairly empty, but has ice-cream and toilets close-by for the family. For some mad reason the buggy riders at yarmouth stay close to the pier - I'd be terrified of running over a kiddie or getting hooked in the pier itself!
