Hi BDG. I don't know if you did have chance to listen to Chris Needs radio programme. He has just announced that he has been given the M.B. E. for services to broadcasting and also for his charity work. His listeners are delighted. It is well deserved.
Best Wishes to you and your family for a Happy New Year. From Pamela.

Happy New Year to you Pamela
I have to confess I have not had chance to tune into him, I mainly listen to Jason on line or R2 and completely forgot about him. His listeners must be thrilled. Can you get him on digital radio as I know my hubby would be very interested he's the keen gardener and I've thought about getting him one for his birthday.
Best wishes and enjoy 2005 look forward to reading any new articles you may have in mind or your lovely poems.

Hi Becky. The title of Chrls's programme confuses everyone at first. It isn't about gardening. It's a friendly phone-in programme where listeners can ring in just for a friendly chat, a request or to try a quiz question. In between the calls the music can range from Ricky Martin, Il Devo, Beth Neilsen Chapman, Shirley Bassey Al Jolson or the occasional opera track.
Radio Wales is only on Digital in some parts of Wales. If you are in England I think you get Radio four instead. I listen on AM radio. I know you can get it Online as Chris gets phone calls from America and Canada from people who have emigrated, who like to keep in touch with their old homeland.
I don't have a computer. It's an Internet TV set-top box and it doesn't get sound, so I can't get the online radio. I don't know Jason's show. Is he on ordinery radio as well as Online ?
I listen to Radio 2 sometimes. Johnnie Walker has been a favorite of mine for years and I like the country music programmes but I usually watch T.V. in the evenings.
Bye for now .
All the best.
Pamela.

Hi Alji & Pamela
Thanks for the link will try and check Chris out sometime.
Pamela, Jason is on a local South West London Station "Radio Jackie" which can also be listened to on line. Presumably you can look at the web site for the station from your box by googling? There is a photo of him on there! He's just been promoted to a regular slot but not sure what times yet. He's a great guy and always gives us all a mention when we listen when the show is on, including posting in the R2CB at the same time as broadcasting!

Jason Reynolds; Surprising fact about myself: 'I can recite the alphabet backwards in under five seconds.'
I can do it in three seconds!

Hi Becky Have you seen Alan's photos of his new grandchild. Go to his Friendly Garden page, or my page, and look for the conversation 'Our new Granddaughter' He has a link there.
I hane read about Radio Jackie. I subscribe to a small magazine 'Radio Review' and it's had a few mentions there.
I'm in a valley in Wales and Digital Radio or Freeview T.V (BBC2W) etc. isn't available here yet, unless you have a satellite dish, according to the website I looked at. We can't get Channel 5 clearly either, but I understand a lot of places have trouble getting that.
Bye for now.
from Pamela.
