This night of the peak of the Leonid Meteor Shower. Details can be found in the University Observatory. http://www.h2g2.com/A338951
Or I could just copy the Observatory's information below...
"The Leonid Meteor Shower is always among the favourites this
month, peaking on 17 November. This year's shower promises
to be a good one, even though a gibbous moon will wash out
fainter meteor streaks. The radiant will be rising in the east
around 3am local time, coming from the question-mark shaped
constellation of Leo. At that hour, it will be rather cold so
dress appropriately and keep plenty of hot drinks handy."

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
