Please post here if you plan to attend. I've taken the liberty of signing up fords, as I know she's going, and Ku', as it's in his home town and he has no excuse.

I think I'm doing something for Hallowe'en so I'll probably not be able to attend.
I'm sure you'll all be heartbroken.

Far away my a***. It's Fife that's far away.
One important point seems to have been missed so far. Die tenpinstriken hat ein Bierkeller, ja?
If so, put me down for all day.

Wumbie, yes, there is a bar in conjunction with the bowling alley, and you can bring your beer out from the bar to the bowling alley, as long as you don't pour your beer into the bowling gutters (probably shouldn't have said that to give him any ideas).
I'd suggest McCabe's as a starting point for the meet as it's located just on the other side of the wall from the train station (yes, the wall that the train crashed into). McCabe's have a pretty decent back room that's usually not too filled up with people, at least not on a Saturday afternoon.
There will also be air hockey tables near the bowling lanes, so after we've bowled ourselves out, we can go ahead with the Scottish Researchers Air Hockey CHampionships: The Rematch.

Whichever, but it's not like I started whining and asking for a meet somewhere more convenient like Kirkcaldy, is it?
Not to say I'd be opposed to the idea

Good idea, we could have a French night in honour of Claude and all that he's done to stop the dancing in the streets of Raith.

Ok, I'm free on the 30th and the 6th. Although it looks like I'm going to a party on the 29th, so the next week might be better (I might have recovered by then)

Scratch me from the bowling, I've got a game that day.
...and if by some miracle I do manage to end up on a train I'll text fords from Llandudno for directions

*looks inquisitively at fords* I didn't know you came from Llandudno.
So are we making it the 6th of November or what?

Now that I think about it, Lairg seems a more likely destination.
