what about the shy brainey types who have an excellent grasp of knowledge but are paranoid freaks or not good at self-expression.
a verbal test is always going to be an english (or other if the teacher has a babel fish) test. but you are right that written testing is limited.
My solution is to educate and assess myself. using this method I have determined that I am as smart as I am and the proud holder of a degree from the university of Ac-1D!
