it's not about being etheist or not,its about accepting differences. and to try to understand each other. the conflict in the middle-east is making of religion 'the stage' of conflict, its no longer politicol, two nations over a space, its jews v. muslims and christians. pple all over the world need to know that its agression pure and simple. i'm not against jews, they had their own 'special' reasons although, it doesn't justify any thing but, to look at the daily killings of childrens, that look just our own.

This is probably a bit late, in that Lailatcom seems to have left the building, but I think it's fair to interpret the post to read:
[My translation: It's not about whether or not one is a theist, it's about tolerance for those who do not believe as we do. For example, religion has become the source of conflict, rather than political disagreements between two nations who lay claim to the same area. It has become Jews vs. Muslims and Christians.
People all over the world need to see it as pure aggression. I have nothing against the Jews as a people; but, even though they have had their reasons, the reasons don't justify the human cost, including the daily killing of children.]
This falls short of a rant, although it does seem biased. If I were to address the same point, I might phrase it more like this:
Atheists and theists alike are living in a world where we are often exposed to agression. To live together in peace, tolerance is not just 'I won't try to kill you if you don't try to kill me' thing. The level of tolerance required is acceptance of differences in beliefs (or not believing) and respect for each group's right to exist peacefully.
I can't say that I agree about religion having become the stage for the mutual aggression that seems to exist between virtually any two mideast countries. The aggression is ancient and has existed long before any of the current countries were formed.
I believe it to be both religious and political in nature, and will never be solved when any one group defines itself on the destruction of another. The conflicts will likely erupt again and again, because most every religion on the planet views itself as the one, true religion, to the exclusion of all others; and often to the obliteration of all others as well.
It doesn't do any good to rant against one side killing children if both sides have been guilty, either.
