Mr Postgate R.I.P.
Sadly, Oliver Postgate died yesterday, aged 83. 
Creator of characters like The Clangers and Bagpuss, still much loved today, will be sadly missed. I had the privelege, back in the '80's of meeting Mr Postgate on a number of occasions as a friend was his neighbour. I remember him as a very pleasant chap who loved children and very kindly gave my two sisters a Clanger each when we were invited for tea one day at his home in Blean, Canterbury.
Thankfully he has left a large catalogue of work for us all to continue to enjoy.
