The password retrieval link only works if you're logged out of the BBC site as well as H2G2 and this has been confusing a few people. Could you either add a note to the FAQ explaining to people that if the forgotten password screen doesn't show up when they follow the link from the FAQ, they need to click Log Out, and then click the back and reload buttons on their browser to get there. Alternatively you could tell them to go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-perl/mybbc/mybbc?logoff=1 first, and then go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-perl/mybbc/mybbc?fp=1

Thanks Mycroft - that's a good point, and we've edited the FAQ accordingly.
The password system is a bit messy, but you'll be glad to know we're working on a more integrated system that should remove the clunkiness. Let's hope so!
