nothing scary, eh?

My definition of nothing scary in the conditions for becoming an h2g2 researcher plainly differs from the Beeb's. Not only am I to receive spam, but to hand over all possible copyright "in perpetuity".
Pity. It might have been a worthwhile exercise.

Spam? I have never got any spam from h2g2. As for copyright, you share the copyright with h2g2, you can do what you like with what you write, but so can h2g2. This is just to avoid legal issues if they change media, etc.
I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I have never received a singlew piece of spam as a result of signing up to the BBC, and I've been here for ages now. As for the copyright thing, it's only fair, and pretty much so that the italics and others can quote your words where needed without fear of getting their asses sued for as much as possible. It's also so that no-one else can lay claim to it. Anyway, too late now, you had to register to post!
