Neverwhere

I've just been browsing through your reading list (nosey, aren't I?)and I notice you have recently read "Stardust" by Neil Gaiman.

Do yourself a favour (to quote Aussie rock guru Molly Meldrum)and make the time to read Gaiman's "Neverwhere".It's a beautiful while rather dark fantasy about the other London which is just over there and you can almost touch through the cracks in the world.
Meet the Earl of Earl's Court. Beware Night's Bridge. Visit British Museum tube station.
Just keep your map of the Underground handy. Oh, and watch out for the shepherds at Shepherds Bush.
