Oh, and btw, regarding your very first opening post >>Short and mundane but totally practical. And *diagrams* would help a very great deal.<< You should consider adding this to the next beeblecast. Seriously - check this out (the link is in the very first post) http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F127730?thread=4948170 This would make a great addition.

If I can just add my about Beeblecasting stuff...
The AViators work in two ways; the Beeblecast is a big mishmash of clips, but we also do single-entry clips. This would actually be perfect for the latter. I would imagine this would run to 4-5 minutes as an independent clip, and we wouldn't get enough of it into a 60 second segment of the Beeblecast for it to be worthwhile.
There are links to some of our previous AV clips on the AViators page at A13264670; there are only three there at the moment, but another three are in production. I'd be happy to have a stab at making an AV version of this if you like

Go ahead, be my guest: if you wait for me to do it you'll wait for ever, as I *hate* being videoed. Don't know why, just always been publicity shy, I suppose.
I don't mind doing voice-overs, though, as I have quite a nice recorded voice.

I'll send you my email address to your hotmail now, then - if you record the audio and send it to me, I'll just work the clips around it. No mad rush, but it would be great to get the clip made and approved by the group and Eds in time for this to feature on the Front Page at the same time as your Entry

I must definitely try this technique!
I wonder if section 5 needs a little clarification - do you have to pinch the outer surface of the glove near the wrist to remove the first glove, then the inner surface of the second one? Rubber gloves don't normally have cuffs like other gloves, so this wasn't quite clear to me.

Sorry, I'm being a muppet again and getting ahead of myself. There isn't much point in doing any audio while the text is being reviewed, is there? Let's think about that when this has been picked

There isn't even much point doing the audio until the video clips have been done, and they won't be ready to be recorded until the text is finalised. If my instructions are clear enough then you should be able to record the clips and I should be able to narrate them without any hitches.

Yes, I've worked out how to film it all - I understand the instructions clearly. It's actually much easier for me to fit the video to the audio, and I'll make the clips based on your recording. That way, I'll know exactly how long each segment of filming has to be.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

It's going to be a little while before I can get around to doing the recordings, so I suggest that we let this go through the subbing process, get put up on the Front Page, and then let the Curators work their magic afterwards. Agreeable?

Or I could just do the audio myself. Then, if you don't like the sound of my voice, I'll put the whole thing on hold and you can record your voice at a later date. How does that sound?
