Apart from the picture the article seemed fine. You might also wish to add the CMEs can cause satelites to fail also - and has done so. I think there was a case a few years ago where a N. American system was put out for a while because of this. I'd have to check.
Aurorae also affect radio reception. Radio amateurs are known to use the effect (it causes a reflection in the radio wave) to get signals further than they would normally go. A book on the subject is published by the RSGB (Radio Society Of Great Britain, http://www.rsgb.org.uk/books/vhf.htm ). MOre links to radio aurora sites can be found here http://fs1.ilk.de/sites/gap/au.htm The radio effect can happen even when no visible aurora is present

Oh yes and another link that should go on the page, http://www.spacew.com/www/aurora.html real time images from polar satelites and info on both northern and southern auroral boundries.

Thanks for that. I'll update it.
Do you know of any way to get the picture working?

Other than doing a simple picture and putting it onto a non H2G2 server and linking to it, no.
It seems that the bit of software used to create the site doesn't go well with lots of white space at the start of lines. As GuideML is extended HTMl you might be able to get away with using (I think that's the right one, check ) and setting it up as pre-formatted text. It's used in HTML to put things like program code into pages without breaking the formatting. It could work here, if it doesn't you've still not lost anything, but gained more knowledge.

there is a good pick, that I wanted. When I get back I'll link it.
Can I do a nifty GideML think to link straight to it or is it copyrighted?
