The Acrostic Poem

I was challenged by B'Elana to write an acrostic poem for The Post, and I challenged her to take the current telegram game word.

Gratitude costs nothing – or so I once was told,
Respect for other people – is something you should hold,
Acceptance without thanks – you might just well as steal
Consider others' feelings – the way that you would feel
Invocation, incantations – prayers of thanks to God
Acknowledgement of what we're given – it's really rather odd,
So often you just take things – you ungrateful little sod.
