...half orange, half blue, saying ACE/Sub. would fit the bill nicely, I think!

There is, of course, a badge that you have missed out. The is a rather nice magenta one (Bruce has one) for h2g2 Official Section Heads. If you want to see it, then it is here: http://www.h2g2.com/U25551

So therefore there would need to be a threeway split on the combined badge, so it would probably need to be circular.

Morning - just to let you know that all this is being noted and added to my list of things to pester people I about. I can't promise anything but will endeavour to get an answer.

I support the Subs, after all I give them plenty of work.

So I'll support this case. As a mere humble ACE.

Peta and I have had a wee discussion and this is the result:at present it is not possible to have two badges on your page at once. However, it is one of tasks that the Tech team will be tackling once they have finished their present project. So it is on its way - please bear with us!

(hey I'm getting a response!)
Thanks for taking note!
But would the tech team be looking for a way to put two badges on one page, or creating a combined badge (as suggested above)?
Though it would probably take more work, I think a combined badge would be better.

We could come up with some ideas for designs. You know, like stripes or chequered or something. It'd be pretty funky if it was chequered.

As for you, Demon Drawer, your rate of submission is just fine from a Sub-Editor's point of view...

So how does this work? DD submits lots of articles, and tries to keep one of the subbeds continually busy??

Oh *looks crestfallen* I hadn't thought about practicalities!

But what would be his tactic?
To write as many articles as possible, hundreds of little small ones

OR

A few really complex, badly spelled, hard to code GuideML stuff ones?

Tricky.

I love the latter!!!

Don't look Crestfallen, Abi, we'll find a way to do this... we could say it was cheating if DD didn't keep up his usual quality, if the subbed, say Necro didn't catch all the mistakes say if Crusader or Sam had to edit it some before its approved... just to keep one subbed continually occupied with *one* researchers work... it could be H2G2 challengesmiley - smiley

Hmmm. Let me see I have been in at least 15 SubEd's batches in the last week or so. I have a couple of big complicated articles to post shortly one being on Whisk(e)y is this really a far challenge I could rattle off articles on every European monarch for the last 1000 years with very little difficulty if I wanted to. As it is I haven't becasue I want to do a little bit of variety for a change. smiley - winkeye

Necro (Patron Daemon of Patron Saints)

The problem that I have with DD's stuff is precisely that: he COULD, I'm sure, rattle off every European monarch for the last 1000 years, whereas I for one would have no clue whether or not he was right, and so would have to trust his judgement entirely.

Apart form that, his articles tend to be really easy to edit; GuideML stuff in the right place, no spelling errors- assez simple, n'est pas?

It's just that out of the twenty I have recieved so far, 3 have been his that I know of, and I haven't the faintest idea whether or not he's just making the stuff up so that he can laugh at us or not...
