Hi! Wonko -
? ? ? So glad you found your way back.
This place is like the "Hotel California" - isn't it -
"You can check out any time you like
But you can never leave"
I hope the mods don't think that's a breach of copyright. It is a suitable quote and I'm sure the Eagles don't mind.
At the moment, I'm a bit lethargic about organising a get-together. I start my new job - full time - on Monday and don't know how I will manage for other activities. I hope I'll be able to get on line at work and join in a few conversations on H2G2, otherwise I might lose touch all together.
BTW - would you all like to take a look at my entry on the introduction of the Euro all over Europe? I have had some help from Ireland and France and am expecting some notes from Holland.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A660863
My question is - should I put an Entry on the Introduction of the Euro into Peer Review now - or should I wait until the changeover has taken place, complete the entry and _then_ post it to Peer Review. I would like to post it now - to make the UK readers a bit more aware of what is going on. A second part could then follow in January...???

Hi TC, great work!
Some quick notes...
I wouldn't have expected that there's so much to be said, and I'll be inspecting my bank for any sign of non-responsibility for errors
There was another money changeover in Germany (that is, in the eastern part) after re-unification.
There's no need to link to entries from the unedited Guide. Either give credits (if due) or just drop them.
I'd say, take another look at it, watching for missing periods and closing brackets, then go to PR. There's enough stuff to be anticipated for a 'first impression after...' entry

There´s far too much cafuffle about the Euro, if you ask me ... Let me try my keyboard € YIPEE!!! At least it does that...
I think, I will change my nick to €...
*Goes to do so...*

You're right, really. I don't think it's such a big deal, but I thought I'd write about it to clear it up in my own mind and to draw the attention of the insular Brits to what is going on in the real world.
Oh dear - that sounds nasty. Listen - I'd go back like a shot (in fact I did, last week, as it was my mother's birthday). But they could be a bit less insular.
Closing brackets?
Hmm..
As for links to unedited entries - I leave them in intentionally for the unofficial version. As a subed, I am obliged to check out links and remove unofficial ones.

I have checked it. All those missing full stops were Whisky's. I've tried to find a nice picture to break up the writing, as there's so much, but can't. There's not even a decent picture of money anywhere.

Jingle bells, - jingle bells.
BTW ringo has been around again. He has been mouring George Harrison.

Hallo Bossel... Oh... nice job you did around here... Lucky there´s someone in here anyway, aren´t we???
How are you? Did I see a headline in the Post that Pear review isn´t the thing at h2g2 any more, or did I get something wrong???

Oh, that Pier Review thing is something completely different.
I'm fiiiiine! Just booked the flight and hotel for the London meet, took three days off work for next week, and I'm waiting to be handed over my new car on Friday
