I've visited both Dachau in Germany, and Auchwitz in Poland.
Its interesting that the Nazis ended up building their Death camps that were the most operational in Poland.
Dachau has cremetoria but they weren't ever used according to the guide.
It was a traditional Concentration camp rather than a Death camp.
It was well maintained from memory. I seem to remember a big sculpture there with writhing bodies..also a very informative museum. There was a lot of information about which coloured stars that people wore, were referring to which individual ethnic group. They have a heck of a lot to do with Gypsies there.
